RAFAŁ JAKUB PASTWA

 

Habilitated doctor in the discipline of social communication and media sciences, media expert, theologian, journalist, poet and prose writer. Research and teaching employee at the Institute of Journalism and Management, Faculty of Social Sciences, Catholic University of Lublin.
Founder of the "Za Bramą" foundation. In 2012-2013, president of the management board of the Association for Aid to Needy People "Agape" in Lublin. From June 2013 to October 2023, editor-in-chief of "Gość Niedzielny" in Lublin.
 

Member of the Polish Society for Social Communication, member of the Bioethics Committee at the District Medical Chamber in Lublin, member of the Interdisciplinary Team for Counteracting Violence in Lublin, member of the "Agape" Association for Aid to People in Need. Completed training in Solution Focused Therapy  (BSFT I)

Winner of the "Angelus Lubelski" award in the field of media culture. He was awarded the Union of Lublin Medal by the President of Lublin.
He is interested in media, literature, football and the sound of Soundgarden. He loves contact with other animals. He is a pastor of people of culture and art in Lublin.
 

In his scientific work, he deals with the mediatization of religion, religious and post-religious communication, and Critical Human-Animal and Media Studies.
He is the author of literary publications, books and scientific articles in the field of media, social communication and philosophy. He manages the research grant "Creative creator of the future- Being smarter than a Chatbot" as part of the Science for Society II program.


He appreciates the sound of Soundgarden, the poetry of Różewicz and Rilke, and loves contact with other animals. Shares home space, experiences, emotions and time with dog Chester.

Doktor habilitowany nauk humanistycznych w dyscyplinie komunikacja społeczna i nauki o mediach, medioznawca, teolog, dziennikarz, poeta i prozaik. Pracownik naukowo-dydaktyczny w Instytucie Dziennikarstwa i Zarządzania na Wydziale Nauk Społecznych Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego.Założyciel fundacji „Za Bramą”. W latach 2012-2013 prezes zarządu Stowarzyszenia Pomocy Osobom Potrzebującym „Agape” w Lublinie. Od czerwca 2013 r. do października 2023 r. redaktor naczelny „Gościa Niedzielnego” w Lublinie. 

 

Członek Polskiego Towarzystwa Komunikacji Społecznej, członek Komisji Bioetycznej przy Okręgowej Izbie Lekarskiej w Lublinie, członek Zespołu Interdyscyplinarnego ds. Przeciwdziałania Przemocy w Lublinie, członek Stowarzyszenia Pomocy Osobom Potrzebującym „Agape”. Ukończył szkolenie z zakresu Terapii Skoncentrowanej na Rozwiązaniach (TSR I)

 

Laureat nagrody „Angelus Lubelski” w dziedzinie kultury medialnej. Odznaczony Medalem Unii Lubelskiej przez Prezydenta Miasta Lublin.

Interesuje się mediami, literaturą, piłką nożną i brzmieniem Soundgarden. Uwielbia kontakt z innymi zwierzętami. Jest duszpasterzem ludzi kultury i sztuki w Lublinie.
 

W pracy naukowej zajmuje się mediatyzacją religii, komunikacją religijną i postreligijną oraz Krytycznymi Studiami nad Człowiekiem-Zwierzętami i Mediami.Jest autorem publikacji literackich, książek i artykułów naukowych z zakresu mediów, komunikacji społecznej i filozofii. Kieruje grantem badawczym „Kreatywny twórca przyszłości”, „Być mądrzejszym od Chatbota” w ramach programu Nauka dla Społeczeństwa II.

 

Ceni brzmienie Soundgarden, poezję Różewicza i Rilkego, uwielbia kontakt z innymi zwierzętami. Dzieli domową przestrzeń, doświadczenia, emocje i czas z psem Chesterem.
